Terms and conditions
This English text is for convenience. The Dutch version is legally authoritative. Algemene voorwaarden
In brief
- A booking is confirmed once you accept a written quote and pay a 30% deposit.
- Free reschedule or cancel up to 7 days before the session; later rules apply in section 7.
- Mix projects include 2 revision rounds; we keep sessions for 12 months.
- Dutch law applies; consumers may also bring claims before a court in their place of residence.
1. Scope
These terms apply to all services provided by Obligerpath B.V. (Obligerpath) at Overtoom 141, 1054 HG Amsterdam: Vocal recording, Mixing, Mastering, Podcast recording and Band recording, as described under services and in your quote.
The Dutch version is authoritative; this English text is provided for convenience. In case of conflict, the quote prevails, then these terms, then the privacy policy for data matters.
2. Definitions
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Client | The natural or legal person accepting a quote. |
| Consumer | A natural person acting outside trade, business or profession. |
| Business client | A client acting in trade or profession, such as a label, agency or company podcast. |
| Quote | The written document stating date, duration, VAT-inclusive price, deposit and any specifics. |
| Session | The reserved studio slot or agreed remote working time. |
| Deposit | 30% of the quoted amount to confirm the booking. |
3. Quotes and contract
Request a quote via contact, phone or email; we send it within 2 business days. Unless stated otherwise, quotes stay valid for two weeks. A session is firm after written acceptance and receipt of the deposit.
For distance contracts we confirm by email with the essential details. Browsing the site or sending a message alone does not bind you.
4. Prices
Guide prices on the site (for example vocal recording from €95 per hour, mixing €185 per track, mastering €78 per track) include 21% VAT. The binding amount is in your quote. Extra time beyond the booked block is charged only if you confirm it, at the rate in the quote.
5. Payment
The deposit is 30% of the total and offsets the balance. Pay by bank transfer; card or cash at the studio when agreed. Consumers pay the balance on delivery or when collecting final files.
Business clients pay within 14 days of invoice date unless the quote says otherwise. Late payment may incur statutory commercial interest and reasonable collection costs. Until full payment we may withhold final mix or master files.
6. Cancellation and rescheduling
| Timing | Effect |
|---|---|
| More than 7 days before | Free cancel or move; deposit refunded within 14 days if you cancel. |
| Within 7 days | Deposit kept unless we resell the slot; otherwise 50% of the quote as compensation. |
| No-show or late arrival | Reserved time remains billable; extension only if the schedule allows. |
Send requests in writing to [email protected]. This does not limit statutory withdrawal rights where they apply (see section 8).
7. Consumer withdrawal
If you conclude a service contract at a distance, you generally have 14 days to withdraw without giving reasons, unless an exception applies.
If you explicitly ask us to start before that period ends, you owe a proportionate amount for work already done if you withdraw. Once a service is fully performed with your prior express consent, withdrawal no longer applies. Custom or heavily personalised audio is also excluded.
Withdraw by email to [email protected]. Refunds within 14 days via the same payment method.
8. Sessions and house rules
Hours: Mon–Fri 10–22, Sat 11–18. Up to 6 people at once in the live room. Minimum age to book alone is 16; younger artists need written consent from a parent or guardian who stays present.
Treat gear and rooms with care and follow engineer instructions. No smoking or vaping indoors. We may stop unsafe sessions; the booked block remains due. Damage through fault or negligence is charged to you.
Preparation guides: knowledge base, e.g. prepare your voice or deliver stems.
9. Files, delivery and archive
Unless agreed otherwise we deliver 24-bit WAV via download link or your drive. Turnaround for mix or master starts once complete, usable source files arrive.
We keep session and project files for 12 months after the last activity, then delete them. Back up within that window. Extended storage is available in writing for a fee.
10. Revisions
Mixing includes 2 revision rounds (one bundled note list per round). Mastering includes one revision round unless the quote states otherwise. Further rounds or a new artistic direction after approval are quoted separately.
11. Intellectual property
Your material. Compositions, lyrics and recordings you supply remain yours. You warrant that you may use the works, samples and covers involved and arrange collective management where required.
Our role. Obligerpath B.V. claims no copyright in your music. Producer rights in phonograms you finance pass to you once paid. We do not use your recordings to train AI or clone voices without separate written consent.
References. We mention your name or project only with your written approval.
12. Liability
We work with professional studio care. Artistic results also depend on your preparation; we do not guarantee a chart position or streaming numbers. Liability is limited to direct loss caused by attributable breach, except where mandatory law provides otherwise (including personal injury).
For business clients, total compensation per assignment is capped at its invoice amount, excluding intent or wilful recklessness. Indirect loss such as lost revenue is excluded.
See also our disclaimer.
13. Force majeure
In force majeure (power failure, essential staff illness, government measure) we reschedule. If that fails within a reasonable time, unused prepayments are refunded. Notify us promptly at [email protected].
14. Personal data
Processing follows our privacy policy. If you supply third-party data as a business client, the data processing agreement applies where relevant.
15. Disputes and law
Dutch law governs these terms. Consumers may also sue in their place of residence. Business disputes go to the competent courts in the Amsterdam district unless mandatory law says otherwise.
Try to resolve issues first via [email protected]; we reply within 2 business days.
16. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published on 7 October 2026 at obligerpath.digital applies to new bookings. Ongoing jobs keep the version in force when you accepted the quote.
