Audience and formats

Podcast recording targets interview shows, news briefings, internal company comms and narrative series with two to four people at the table. Solo sessions with one mic are possible, but we shine when speakers overlap — separate tracks make that manageable.

We do not film video podcasts; you can take raw audio to your video team. We do not supply music intros — clear rights yourself or use royalty-free sources. Singing or live instruments? See band recording or vocal recording.

Room and gear

We use a fixed table setup with boom arms, pop filters and 8 headphone sets for panel members. The space shares the building with our other rooms (2 rooms total); podcast sessions sit in the treated corner with curtains and absorption against ceiling reflections.

Monitoring is from the control room; the engineer hears what you hear and can fix plosives or sibilance without stopping the talk. Up to 6 people including crew fit comfortably; larger groups by arrangement.

How a recording day runs

You rarely need all 18 mics at once — most episodes use two to four channels. A typical two-hour session (as in €235) includes setup, recording and export. Extra time bills at €88 per hour.

FAQ covers parking and access; directions: We are at Overtoom 141, a short walk from the Overtoom stop (GVB tram 1 and 7). From Amsterdam Centraal, allow about twenty minutes on tram 1 towards Osdorp. There is on-street paid parking and bicycle racks; the entrance is at street level beside the large front windows.

What to bring

Prepare question lists, guest details and any disclaimers. Water and notepads are available; laptops are fine if fans do not blow into mics. Avoid rustling clothes and jewellery that taps the table.

Delivery and file formats

Default export is WAV 24 bit, 48 kHz per speaker, plus a stereo mixdown for quick review. Multitrack for your editor arrives as a folder with aligned start times. Files stay available for 12 months via secure link; see privacy policy.

Basic edit prep means marked silences and clear region names — not a broadcast-ready edit with music and jingles. Want us to cut and normalise? Request a separate quote; that is outside the standard hourly rate.

Season packages

The season rate €2,100 covers ten episodes of two hours recording each, schedulable within twelve months of booking. Useful for teams publishing monthly who want fixed studio time. Single episodes stay €235; ad hoc time is €88 per hour.

Net for business clients: €194.21 per episode, payment within 14 days on invoice.

Booking, deposit and cancellation

Confirmation after a 30% deposit on the quote. Free reschedule up to 7 days before the session; later, terms may charge 50% of the session fee. Minimum participant age: 16; younger guests only with written guardian consent.

What is not included

No Spotify/Apple publishing, show notes, transcription, location sound outside the studio or music-rights research. We do not integrate remote guests over Zoom by default — bring your own remote setup or record physical guests only.

Mastering of jingles or theme music is a separate service. Complex narrative shows with heavy sfx may need specialised post unless we scope that upfront.

Collaboration and follow-up

Obligerpath has worked in Oud-West since 2019. After recording you can book mixing if you blend podcast intros with music, or mastering for consistent loudness across episodes.
